Note: this pub currently sells bottled beer only. A grim-looking testimony to its former function when seen from a distance, Bodmin Jail has been tastefully refurbished as a gastro-pub to create a comfortable lounge/dining area and a pleasant outside area for warm summer evenings. The unusual setting is most imposing, and a tour of the prison museum is a must. The two restaurants offer a wide range of freshly-cooked, locally-sourced food (1000-1700, 1800-2100, roasts all day Sun 1000- 2000), and fine wines are also available if you wish. Children are very welcome. The pub is licensed for weddings, and also offers a 'paranormal ghost experience', and a 'paranormal dining experience'.
