Roger's Magnificent Mild May Trip

Saturday 12 May 2018

A few pictures from the Mild Month of May trip to the Blisland Inn, The St Maybe Inn, Haywood's Cider Farm and The Hole in the Wall

After a swift pick up from Bodmin, we landed at the Blisland Inn, Located North of Bodmin just off the A30.

With the Landlord Garry welcoming us from his perch at the Bar, a marvellous selection of Mild's were sampled, with no less than 5 beers being changed in the couple of hours we spent sampling some absolute gems.

The Onwards we ventured to Haywood's cider farm where we sampled some beautiful cider blended to our acquired tastes. Tom has hand reared all of the trees in his orchard and kindly gave us a tour and familiarised us with the farm and family history.

Then Back up the Farm track to the wonderful St Maybn Inn where there was some truly fantastic Cornish Mild, Brewed by Dave at Forge brewery, packed with flavour at only 3.2% ABV it was a welcomed refreshment.

Finally we jumped back on the Coach for a final stop at our 2015 & 2016 CAMRA Kernow Pub of the Year the hole in the Wall, Where Steve had some fantastic beers on the bar including Harvey's Best and Batemans Dark Mild...A perfect end to a fantastic trip......

Cheer's Roger you smashed it again !!!
