See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

This slate-flagged, stone walled and wood-beamed former coaching house dates from 1825, and is warm, friendly and traditional, a yes locals' pub. Originally church owned, the pub was mainly for the workers building a church extension close by. The bar room has long been opened out, but there are still clear drinking spaces including a raised seating area seating area, a comfortable 'snug' with easy chairs and a sofa, a pool table near the door, and a large, tiered partly-decked garden at the rear; there is also a skittle alley; teams are supported during the winter season. Liskeard's 'music pub' (it is not a quiet bar!), it hosts live music every Thursday, a 'jam' session on the first Tuesday of the month, and a quiz night on Sundays. No food, but nibbles are available, tapas-style, at the bar on Fridays.
