Around 1km north of St Issey village, the Pickwick Inn & Oliver's Restaurant, is a pub mainly aimed at 'the season'and championing local food It is a large, family-friendly and rather out-of-the-way pub with well-kept bowling green, tennis court and swimming pool with barbecues at the side. The pub enjoys sea views over the Camel estuary, Padstow and Rock as well as the surrounding countryside. The name commemorates a visit to nearby Padstow in 1842 by Charles Dickens.
